How to convince religious mom to dye hair?

This is a tough one as you're also quite young. Maybe another colour would be a good choice just because red has connotations... at least to start with! I am not sure of her faith, but perhaps you could point out other people in your congregation who dye their hair, or some examples of devout people who do. Another idea would be to come up with some other ways for you to feel unique than dying your hair. At some stage your Mom will have to accept that you are your own person and need to live your life the way you think is right. Maybe ure her that you respect or share her beliefs, but don't see how dying your hair is wrong. Try to work 'with' her, ask what she would be prepared to accept, and work up to it slowly - I think if you antagonise her early, it'll be harder.
