Is it possible to remove the emblem off the front grille of my tc, paint it and stick it right back on?

i really wanna spray paint it except i don't want to discover once everything's done that the glue isn't sticky anymore and it wont go back on, or it'll just fall off, is there anything i can use to make it stay on?
