Amex Blue card vs Citi mtvU Visa?

Don't bother with AmEx, you won't be approved because you are young (judging by the fact that you are considering the mtvu card, a college student card). I would go with any card Citi has to offer, but don't get the mtvU card. I had it for over a year and the points aren't worth it. Also, when you're 30 and you pull out your MtvU credit card to pay for dinner, its going to look a bit cheesy. I say this because you want to open a credit card that you can have for a long time. Open something respectable like the Citi Dividend card for students, its just as easy to get as the MtvU card, has the same interest, but it earns you cash back instead of ThankYou points. Also, 10-20 years down the road you won't be embared to pull out your Dividend card, because its a professional sounding/looking card.
