Backing up securom discs?

Will a disc image created with Alcohol 120% really make a perfect image or copy of a securom-, safedisc- whatever-protected disc? It has preset modes for each, but I'm a little skeptical as to its actual capability. Anyone ever successfully used it to back up a game with any DRM schemes like these?
