What can I teach in 3 - 5 minutes?

Teach a simple song or fingerplay. You'll find tons of simple songs to well known tunes. I'm sure you'll find something you like! Another one that's always amusing is to teach making a peanut er and jelly sandwich. That one gets a lot of laughs! Or how about origami. Maybe one of those would be fun!
